Report spotlights top health needs

Mental health, access to health care, and a lack of insurance or ability to pay are the top community health priorities for the lake area, according to the 2021 Community Health Needs Assessment produced by Lake Regional Health System and collaborating community partners. Surveys to residents of Camden, Laclede, Miller and Morgan counties provided data for the report.

"The goal of this assessment is to take a comprehensive look at factors affecting the health of our community so we can better meet local health needs," says Stacie Ling, CPTM, LSSBB, director of Human Resources. "The Mental Health First Aid courses we’re offering this spring are one example of how we align our outreach with the identified needs."
