What are the greatest health needs of our community? You can share your thoughts by taking the Community Health Needs Assessment Survey being conducted by the Lake Area Community Health Partners committee. This group includes Lake Regional Health System, area health departments, Central Ozarks Medical Center, local schools and others.
This survey is intended to determine the health needs of residents of Camden, Miller and Morgan counties. Lake Regional will work with public health officials and community leaders to address the needs identified by the survey.
All residents of Camden, Miller and Morgan counties are invited to take the online survey. Paper surveys are available by calling 573.348.8222. To thank the public for participating, the group is offering $5 Amazon gift cards for completed surveys (partially completed surveys do not earn the incentive).
Along with the survey, Lake Regional is conducting community focus groups to hear firsthand about gaps in the services available to keep area residents healthy.
“Many people and organizations in our community support public health and provide services to underserved populations,” said Dane W. Henry, CEO of Lake Regional Health System. “We invite all interested individuals and organizations to attend these focus groups to help us identify local health needs.”
The focus groups will take place at the following times and locations:
- 5 p.m. Thursday, May 10, Morgan County Library, 600 N. Hunter, Versailles
- 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, Elk’s Lodge #2705, 174 Elks Road, Laurie
- 5 p.m., Monday, May 21, Lake Regional Hospital, third-floor conference rooms, 54 Hospital Drive, Osage Beach
- 5 p.m., Thursday, May 31, Camdenton United Methodist Church fellowship hall, 340 W. Hwy. 54, Camdenton
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, nonprofit hospitals nationwide must conduct a comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment every three years. Past surveys conducted by Lake Regional Health System are available at www.lakeregional.com/reports.
Lake Regional Health System provides comprehensive health care services to the residents and visitors of the lake area. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and is a three-time recipient of the Missouri Quality Award. Lake Regional also operates primary care, walk-in care, specialty care and rehab therapy clinics; retail pharmacies; and home health and hospice services throughout the lake area.
