Skilled Nursing

UPDATE: Beginning March 14, visitation to the Skilled Nursing Unit will be closed as part of the state Department of Health and Human Services plan to prevent the spread of illness throughout the state.

Our top priority is the health and safety of our patients, visitors and staff. We always use the best safety practices to protect the health of everyone who comes to our hospitals and clinics.

Lake Regional's Skilled Nursing Facility has earned a five-star rating, the highest available, from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. We are committed to providing high-quality, personalized care in a comfortable, friendly environment.

We provide intermediate, transitional and subacute specialized nursing care. Your full team of health care providers includes registered dietitians and pharmacists, who will monitor your diet and medications. Our personalized therapy program is designed to help you achieve independence and quality of life through rehabilitation therapies, including physical, occupational and speech therapy, as needed.

Note: Patients must be qualified under Medicare and/or private insurance for a skilled service.

Our facility, located on the second floor of Lake Regional Hospital, features semi-private and private rooms and a dining room/lounge to visit with family and friends. An in-house beauty salon is available for your pampering.

Because you are considered a resident during your stay, we encourage you to wear your own clothing instead of a hospital gown. Meals are served in our dining room, and you may receive visitors at any time. We also welcome your participation in a variety of activities organized by our staff.
