If your child is sick or injured, you want them to feel better as soon as possible. You can trust the doctors and nurses at Lake Regional to share that goal and provide the care your child needs.
Our pediatricians and family medicine providers care for children and teens every day in our seven primary care clinics. Services include care for acute illnesses, such as sore throats and stomachaches, and well visits to monitor children's growth and overall health.
Pediatrician or Family Medicine Provider?
Both pediatricians and family medicine providers care for pediatric patients. Pediatricians are doctors who care for children from birth through age 21. Family medicine physicians, as well as family medicine nurse practitioners, care for all family members, from newborns through seniors. Some parents prefer to take their children to pediatricians, while others prefer to go to a family medicine provider who cares for everyone in the family. You should feel free to choose the provider who best serves you.

For nonemergency illnesses and injuries, it's best to take your child to their primary care provider, whenever possible. But if that provider's schedule is full or it's after clinic hours or the weekend, it's still important to get your child the care they need. In that case, our Express Care team is a great option.
Express Care is similar to a primary care clinic, but care is provided on a walk-in basis and does not require an appointment. Plus, the hours extend into the evening and include weekends and most holidays.
Express Care is for non-life-threatening issues, such as colds, earaches, allergies, sprains or mild sunburn. Express Care clinics treat patients 3 months of age and older.
