William Shaw, D.O.
Biography
Dr. Shaw performs electrodiagnostic evaluations (EMG/NCS) at Lake Regional. These evaluations are used to test for a variety of conditions from pinched or compressed nerves in the neck, back, arms, or legs. They are also used to test for generalized nerve damage called neuropathy.
His conditions tested include carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, cervical radiculopathy, lumbar radiculopathy or sciatica, compression neuropathy, neuropathy and brachial plexopathy.
Dr. Shaw practices Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a unique specialty in which providers are able to help diagnose or treat patients using a variety of modalities ranging from EMG/NCS, referrals to physical therapy, hands on osteopathic manipulation, bracing, prosthetics and general musculoskeletal injections.
