Ken Holt, D.O.
Dr. Holt began his medical career as a pharmacist. He enjoyed interacting with patients and decided to become a doctor so he could be more involved in their care from start to finish. As part of his training, he rotated through various specialties, including OB-GYN.
"I wasn't planning on OB-GYN at all, but when I got to the end of the rotation, I thought, 'I'm really going to miss this,'" he said. "There's nothing quite as amazing as being part of bringing a new life into the world."
Along with caring for pregnant women, Dr. Holt provides routine and advanced gynecological services for women of all ages, including treatment for incontinence and pelvic pain. He also performs surgeries, including endometrial ablation and laparoscopic hysterectomy.
He said trust is essential in his patient relationships, and he helps patients think through their options.
"I tell my patients, 'I make suggestions, but you ultimately get to decide what you want to do,'" he said. "I encourage patients to take part in their own health care. You have to have a working relationship for diagnosis and treatment to be effective. It's a partnership."
