Chelsea Pendleton, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Chelsea Pendleton, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, cares for patients at Lake Regional Sleep Medicine. She diagnoses and treats sleep disorders, including insomnia and sleep apnea.
Pendleton began her nursing career in 2008 as a critical care registered nurse with Lake Regional Health System. She is certified to treat patients across the lifespan and is skilled in assessment and monitoring, health restoration, wellness promotion and illness prevention.
“In the past 12 years, I have witnessed countless patients and families devastated by illnesses that could have been prevented,” said Pendleton. “For this reason, I chose to return to school and become a provider to advocate for preventative medicine. I was drawn to the specialty of sleep medicine because I know how important sleep is to our overall health and what harmful effects lack of sleep can have if not treated.”
Pendleton builds rapport with her patients to create an environment of trust and to increase patient confidence.
“Active listening and providing empathy are two of the most important factors when creating a positive working relationship with patients,” Pendleton said. “Active listening conveys respect and builds trust.”
Pendleton rejoined Lake Regional in 2021.
