Amy Lockhert, M.D., FAAFP
Biography
Amy Lockhert, M.D., FAAFP, cares for patients of all ages at Lake Regional Clinic – Camdenton and Lake Regional Clinic - Lebanon. She also cares for patients at Lake Regional Wound Healing Center.
Dr. Lockhert is board certified in family practice and addiction medicine. She provides preventive care, such as annual checkups, as well as chronic disease management and treatment for acute health needs, such as strep throat and allergies.
Dr. Lockhert wanted to become a doctor so she could explore and understand what contributes to good health.
“Being healthy takes time and energy — it doesn’t just come to people,” she said. “I help people recognize what their part is in improving their health. For example, if they are not exercising, they might believe they can’t or that they don’t have time. I want to help them out of that corner and help them understand that if they want to be healthy, they can’t not exercise.”
One of the most rewarding parts of being a doctor is seeing people empowered, she added.
“There can be a domino effect,” she said. “I help someone establish healthy habits who then helps someone else. That’s when I know someone truly got it — when they give it away.”
Dr. Lockhert joined Lake Regional in 2019.
