The following resources will help guide you and your loved ones through your hospital stay. This information also is found in the Patient Guide.
Your room assignment at Lake Regional is based on your admitting diagnosis and bed availability on the day of your admission. Cable TV is available in all patient rooms. See the Patient Guide for channel listings. All rooms are equipped with a telephone, except those in the Intensive Care Unit. Patients may receive calls in their rooms from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Local calls are free. Long distance calls require a credit card or can be charged to your home number.
Mail and Flowers
Mail, e-cards, packages and flowers will be delivered to you by a hospital volunteer. Please note that live flowers and plants are prohibited in the Intensive Care Unit and Stepdown Unit. Any mail received after your discharge will be forwarded to your home address. Outgoing mail may be taken to the nurses' station or given to a volunteer. Stationery may be purchased in the gift shops, and postage stamps are available in the Fund Development/Auxiliary office.
All medications you take while hospitalized are prescribed by your doctor, dispensed by the hospital pharmacy and administered by a nurse. Patients are not permitted to administer their own drugs or keep personal medications at their bedsides.
At discharge, you may receive a prescription for medications you need. Lake Regional Pharmacy-Osage Beach offers bedside delivery. Ask your nurse about this free service.
