HEALTHConnect Portal FAQ

Beginning June 15, 2019, Lake Regional patients access their health information using two portals. The below information is for the clinic patient portal. This new portal, called HEALTHConnect, provides information about clinic visits, as well as results of labs and diagnostic imaging related to clinic visits. This portal is shared with MU Health Care.

Patients will continue to use the current portal for information on hospital stays and Emergency Department visits. The hospital portal also maintains clinic visit summaries for dates of service May 1, 2017, through June 14, 2019.

Why is my clinic portal changing to HEALTHConnect?

Lake Regional Health System has collaborated with the Tiger Institute for Health Innovation to bring Cerner technology to our clinics. Beginning June 15, our patients benefit from an electronic health record (EHR) shared with MU Health Care and a new patient portal called HEALTHConnect. 

Will I continue to have access to my records?

You may continue to access Lake Regional clinic visit summaries for dates of service May 1, 2017, to June 14, 2019, using your hospital portal account. For visits beginning June 15, 2019, you will access information using the new clinic portal, HEALTHConnect.

How do I enroll in the new clinic portal?

You are eligible to enroll in the new clinic portal after June 15, 2019, following your first visit to any Lake Regional Health System clinic. Then, you have two easy options:

Enroll with your provider

  1. Give the receptionist your email address when you check in with the clinic.
  2. Click the “Claim My Invitation” link in the confirmation email from HEALTHConnect.
  3. Follow the steps to create an account.

Enroll on your own

  1. Visit lakeregional.com/patientportal.
  2. Click “Register for an account.”
  3. Follow the steps to create an account.

Can anyone access my records?

Patient portals are secure and require usernames and passwords for access. However, if you would like to grant a family member or caregiver access to your records, a proxy can be added to your account. Learn more on our Viewing a Family Member's Information page.

How do I grant someone else access to my records?

To designate proxy access to the clinic portal, please complete the Clinic (HEALTHConnect) Portal Proxy Form. Patients ages 13 and older must provide consent for proxy access. Learn more on our Viewing a Family Member's Information page.

Can I pay my bill online?

Yes, online bill pay is available for all Lake Regional accounts. It’s quick and convenient; no need to access your portal!

Note: You will receive separate statements for clinic and hospital visits.

Is there an app?

Beginning June 15, you will be able to download a HEALTHConnect app from App Store or Google Play

In addition, you can connect your health record to some health management apps, like fitness or dietary trackers. Learn more and request a connection. NOTE: Because HEALTHConnect uses Cerner technology powered by MU Health Care, you will be redirected to MU Health Care's website to connect apps.
