Wednesday, July 25, 2018

Lake Regional Health System will host “Know the 10 Signs of Alzheimer’s Disease,” a free health talk, at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, in the hospital’s third floor conference rooms.

Megan McCarthy, community program specialist for the Greater Missouri Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, will explain how the signs of Alzheimer’s disease differ from normal glitches in thinking and memory. She also will address common fears people have about Alzheimer’s, and she will talk about resources for families, such as support groups, a 24/7 helpline, caregiver center and more.

The health talk is free, but registration is required. To register, visit or call 573.348.8222.

Lake Regional also hosts a monthly Alzheimer’s Support Group. Find the next meeting.
