Lake Regional Health System welcomes Pediatrician Jason Hagely, M.D., to its Osage Beach clinic.
"We are pleased to welcome Dr. Hagely to our team of pediatric providers," said Michael Burcham, vice president of Lake Regional Physician Practices. "We are committed to providing children in the lake area with good access to care, and Dr. Hagely is an excellent doctor who will build strong relationships with his patients and their parents."
Dr. Hagely is board certified in general pediatrics. He cares for children from birth through adolescence, providing well visits and care for general pediatric illnesses and concerns.
Dr. Hagely comes to Lake Regional from the University of Missouri Women's and Children's Hospital, where he provided care in the pediatric clinic and in the nursery. Previously, he worked for Capital Region Pediatric Associates in Jefferson City.
Dr. Hagely's interest in pediatrics goes back to his own childhood, and he has a special connection with children managing a chronic condition.
"I come from a family of teachers, so working with children has always been a dream of mine," he said. "When I developed diabetes at 8 years old, I was inspired by my doctors to help other children manage their illnesses."
He added that watching families grow is the most rewarding part of his work.
"It is incredible to watch kids and their parents change between checkups, as well as with the addition of new family members," he said. "Kids are a parent's most precious investment, and it is a great compliment to be trusted with caring for them."
Originally from St. Louis, Dr. Hagely completed medical school at the University of Toledo in Ohio and completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Missouri.
Dr. Hagely and his wife, Katy, have been married for 10 years and have three children, two yellow Labradors and one cat. Dr. Hagely enjoys watching his children's soccer games and school activities, is a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and also likes watching college football.
