“We are pleased to have Dr. Miller join our Lebanon team,” said Rachel Bailey, Lebanon clinic manager. “Our community will benefit from his experience in providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages.”
Dr. Miller has been drawn to medicine since he was 9 years old. He finds it rewarding to help people manage complex medical conditions, and he especially enjoys taking care of children, including newborns and well-child visits.
“The combination of caring for people and the scientific aspects of medicine has always been very appealing to me, even as a young child,” Dr. Miller said. “As I have become more experienced in the practice of medicine, I see the immense value of preventative care and place a strong emphasis on identifying and modifying risk factors and behaviors that may lead to severe disease down the road if left unchecked.”
Dr. Miller earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency. He chose family medicine so he could develop long-lasting relationships with his patients.
“A good patient-physician relationship begins with mutual respect and developing a familiarity with each other that can provide unique insights into a patient’s needs,” Dr. Miller said. “I feel like the better I can get to know my patients, the better care I can give.”
Dr. Miller lives in Lebanon with his wife, Carrie, and their three teenage children. He prioritizes spending time with family, and his faith is very important to him. In his free time, he likes being outdoors and enjoys fishing, hunting, horses and the rodeo.
Along with Dr. Miller, Lake Regional’s primary care team in Lebanon includes Jeffrey Fears, M.D.; Kimber Guinn, D.O.; Dan Johnson, MSN, APRN-BC; Neil Schwartzman, M.D.; and Laura Seaman, FNP-C. Virtual visits are available.
