Lake Regional Health System is pleased to announce Cheryl Creasy, R.N., MBA, CPHRM, has been named director of Quality Management. In this role, Creasy will lead the health system's quality and patient safety program.
"With more than 30 years in health care, Creasy has extensive experience in quality management, risk management and case management," said Patti Muxlow, Lake Regional senior vice president of Clinical Services. "She will have an integral leadership role in our mission of providing exceptional health care across our service area."
The opportunity to lead a quality improvement program attracted Creasy to Lake Regional.
"I have a background in quality, and so the director position itself interested me," she said. "Then the more I learned about Lake Regional — that it is a three-time recipient of the Missouri Quality Award and a participant in the national Baldrige Performance Excellence Program — the more excited I became because I am a past examiner for ILPEx, the Illinois Quality Award program, which also follows the Baldrige criteria."
Creasy's most recent post before joining Lake Regional was vice president of Risk Management for Memorial Regional Health Services in Belleville, Ill., a not-for-profit health system with two hospitals, a care center, a short-term rehab facility, a home health agency and a medical group. Previously, she served as director of case/quality/risk management at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Ill.
In addition to being a past ILPEx examiner, Creasy holds a certificate of risk management from the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and is a certified professional in healthcare risk management.
Creasy and her husband, Dennis, have had a vacation home at the Lake of the Ozarks since 2013 and are looking forward to living here full time. The couple has five grown children and six grandchildren.
