The Lake Regional Skilled Nursing Facility has upheld its five-star overall rating, the highest available, from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
The CMS established the rating system to help families and caregivers compare nursing facilities. The CMS bases its overall rating on three sources of information: health inspections, staffing levels and quality measures. Lake Regional Skilled Nursing Facility received five stars overall, as well as for quality and staffing.
“I am proud of our team for earning multiple five-star ratings,” said Cherilyn Sisson, R.N., BSN, Lake Regional Skilled Nursing Facility manager. “We all work as a team to provide patient-centered care, and earning the highest mark in the quality domain shows that our patients benefit from our high care standards.”
Located within the hospital, the Lake Regional Skilled Nursing Facility provides intermediate, transitional and subacute specialized nursing care to patients discharged from the hospital. “Our patients often remark that they were treated like family while at our facility,” Sisson said. “We love providing the specialized care our patients need to improve their quality of life. It is always rewarding to see the pride in our patient’s faces as they meet their rehabilitation goals.”
