Lake Regional Promotes Several Staff to Manager Positions

Lake Regional Health System is pleased to announce the promotion of several staff members to manager positions:

Jennifer Aguilar, M.S., has been named Referral Coordinator manager for Lake Regional Medical Group. She leads the team that obtains authorizations for patients. As the demand for authorizations continues to grow, this team is growing, as well. Aguilar joined Lake Regional in 2017. She has six years of experience in the IT field and more than 12 years of experience in the health care field. She’s worked overseas and stateside for the Army as a civilian in hospitals and clinics, both in medical records and various specialty clinics.

Jody Corpe, M.S., E.P., has been named manager of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. She manages the everyday operations of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation department at the hospital and at the Eldon, Camdenton, Lake Ozark and Laurie clinics. Corpe joined Lake Regional in 2007 and helped develop and implement one of the top pulmonary rehabilitation programs in the region, working daily with cardiac and pulmonary patients to help them decrease their risk for cardiac and pulmonary disease. She has more than 20 years of cardiac experience.

Angelina Hamilton, LPN, CPC, CEMC, has been named the application architect for Population Health and Quality. She measures reporting and education for the clinics. Hamilton joined Lake Regional in 1997 as a nurse. She later became the first certified coder for Lake Regional clinics. She assisted Lake Regional’s management team in developing the Corporate Compliance Plan for the clinics and worked as the internal compliance auditor for 10 years. She became the Population Health and Quality coordinator in 2016 to assist with implementing and managing value-based incentive programs focused on quality.

Tony Kauten, PharmD, has been named Pharmacy manager. He oversees the daily operation of inpatient pharmacy services, including regulatory compliance, diversion monitoring and clinical practice development. Kauten joined Lake Regional in 2015. He has 18 years of pharmacy experience, ranging from opening two retail pharmacies to overseeing operations for two critical access hospitals. In 2017, he received Lake Regional’s Beacon of Clinical Excellence award.

Chanté Smith, MBA, was named manager of the Project Management Office. She provides project management support to ensure the successful implementation of various IT projects and to facilitate the sharing of resources, methodologies, tools and techniques. Smith joined Lake Regional in 2015 as a project coordinator. She has more than 20 years of IT experience, including serving as vice president of Business Development for Datanamics Inc. and then as a Middleware Manager for IBM.

Lake Regional Health System provides comprehensive health care services to residents and visitors throughout the mid-Missouri region. The hospital is a Level II Stroke Center, Level II STEMI (heart attack) Center and Level III Trauma Center. Lake Regional also provides a wide range of specialties, including cancer care, heart care, orthopedics and women’s health. Plus, Lake Regional operates primary care clinics, Express Care clinics, rehab therapy clinics, programs for home health and hospice, and retail pharmacies.
