Lake Regional Health System announces Hailey Dunn, FNP-C, joined Lake Regional Neurology on April 1. Dunn works closely with Philip Kurle, M.D., and Stacy Young, FNP-C, to care for patients with neurological conditions, including stroke.
“We are pleased to welcome Hailey Dunn to the Neurology clinic,” said Michael Burcham, vice president of Lake Regional Physician Practices. “There is great demand for neurology services in our area. Hailey will help us improve access to care.”
Dunn has worked at Lake Regional since 2009. She started as an Emergency Department patient care technician, and then became a registered nurse in 2013, working in the Stepdown Unit and the Emergency Department. Dunn studied at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, and got her master’s degree at Cox College in Springfield, Missouri.
Dunn has been in love with health care work since experiencing the emergency department as a patient care technician. When the neurology clinic position opened up, she was excited to apply because she knew that she like working with stroke patients.
“This is a perfect fit,” Dunn said. “I already have experience with stroke patients. So now it comes full circle. When I go into the exam rooms at the clinic, patients say ‘You look so familiar!’ if they have been in the ER. I already know a lot of the patients, which is great.”
Originally from Lebanon, Missouri, Dunn is married to Brent, who works at the Department of Social Services as a case worker. They have three children ages 11, 7 and 4. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing on the lake with her kids.
Lake Regional Neurology is located at 1075 Nichols Road. To schedule an appointment, call 573-302-3999. To view Dunn’s bio, visit lakeregional.com/physicians.
