Lake Regional Health Talk Provides Tools for Managing Grief

Lake Regional Health System will host “SHED Grief Tools” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, in the hospital’s third floor conference rooms.

SHED stands for Surviving, Healing and Evolving through Death Loss. This health talk is for people grieving a loss, as well as for those who support others facing grief. The speaker is Tashel Bordere, PhD, CT, an assistant professor of Human Development and Family Science and a state extension specialist in Youth Development at University of Missouri – Columbia.

Topics will include coping with loss and grief across the lifespan, how to support bereaved individuals, and understanding our innate ability to learn and thrive while facing adversity.
