Lake Regional Health System Names New Chief Executive

Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach has named Dane W. Henry its new chief executive officer. Mr. Henry, who has more than 24 years of health care experience, will join Lake Regional on Monday, Sept. 18.

"Dane Henry is an experienced executive who has a demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership," said Corey ten Bensel, president of the Lake Regional Health System board of directors. "Following an extensive search that included many well qualified candidates, it was clear Mr. Henry will provide a strong focus on patient-centered care. The board is confident he will build on the past successes of Lake Regional, while bringing new ideas that complement our goals for serving the lake area and strengthening community relationships."

Henry will succeed Michael E. Henze, who has served as the health system's chief executive officer since 1990.

"Mike Henze has built an incredible team and organization at Lake Regional," ten Bensel said. "The board of directors is grateful for his service, and throughout this process we have sought a candidate who will continue his tradition of excellence."

Henry said he is looking forward to the challenge.

"Mike Henze is leaving a lasting legacy, and it is an honor to follow him," Henry said. "I am looking forward to working with the Lake Regional team to achieve even greater levels of success and service to the community."

Before joining Lake Regional, Henry served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at DeKalb Regional Healthcare System in Decatur, Ga. Previously, he served as vice president of operations for Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Health System in Gainesville.

Henry has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Purchasing and Operations Management/Business Management from Florida State University in Tallahassee. He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Henry and his wife, Jennifer, have four children, and his family is looking forward to relocating to the Lake of the Ozarks.
