Lake Regional Health System announces Krista Jones, PA-C, has joined Lake Regional Gastroenterology. She works closely with Kevin Byrne, D.O., in providing specialized treatment of conditions that affect the gastrointestinal organs, which include the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts, and liver.
“We are pleased to welcome Krista Jones to Lake Regional,” said Chase Walker, manager of Lake Regional Gastroenterology. “She is an empathetic, skilled provider who empowers her patients, and we are grateful
to have her join our team.”
Poor digestive health can be a serious disruption to someone’s daily life.
“I love helping to improve the quality of life for my patients,” Jones said. “I love to see the joy of a person who feels better because of the help and care I provided.”
Jones is committed to creating a relationship built on strong communication and shared decision-making with every patient.
“I want my patients to feel known and cared for,” Jones said. “I actively listen to my patients, which helps me understand their fears or hesitations. My patients know that I have a deep concern for their wellbeing.”
Jones earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from University of Charleston in Charleston, West Virginia. She previously worked as a physician assistant in a community health center in Greeley, Colorado.
Originally from Colorado, Jones lives in Laurie with her husband and their 5-month-old daughter. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and doing outdoor activities, such as hiking, golfing, biking and water/snow skiing. She also enjoys scrapbooking and cross-stitching.
