Board-certified Gastroenterologist Donald Thompson, M.D., with Lake Regional Gastroenterology in Osage Beach, will offer appointments in Lebanon, beginning in March. Dr. Thompson will care for patients at Lake Regional Specialty Clinic – Lebanon, 128 E. Commercial St.
As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Thompson provides surgical and nonsurgical treatments for conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts, and liver. At Lake Regional Specialty Clinic – Lebanon, he performs diagnostic tests and provides follow-up care.
Dr. Thompson joins Lake Regional Cardiologist Zubair Khan, M.D., FACC, in providing outreach at the clinic. The outreach location makes specialty care more convenient for patients by saving them travel time.

Dr. Thompson earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, studying in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Missouri – Columbia and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Baylor University in Dallas, Texas.
