Lake Regional Health System is pleased to announce its chief executive officer, Dane W. Henry, has been named a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society of health care leaders.
Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development. To obtain fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination; meeting criteria for academics and executive experience; earning continuing education credits; and demonstrating professional and community involvement.
Henry joined Lake Regional as CEO in September 2017. Previously, he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at DeKalb Regional Healthcare System in Decatur, Georgia, and as vice president of operations for Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Health System in Gainesville.
A year into his service at Lake Regional, Henry is focused on strengthening essential service lines, including cancer care, heart care, orthopedics and women’s health.
“In my experience, it’s rare to find a hospital so uniquely capable for its size and location,” Henry said. “What’s been accomplished here is inspiring and is only the beginning. With new enthusiasm, our current leadership team will build on the solid foundation of our predecessors to achieve a whole new level of growth, quality care and safety in the years to come.”
Early on in his career, Henry served as an Air Force officer focused on medical logistics and readiness. He has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Purchasing and Operations Management/Business Management from Florida State University in Tallahassee.
Lake Regional Health System provides comprehensive health care services to residents and visitors throughout the mid-Missouri region. The hospital is a Level II Stroke Center, Level II STEMI (heart attack) Center and Level III Trauma Center. Lake Regional also provides a wide range of specialists, including for cancer care, heart care, orthopedics and women’s health. Plus, Lake Regional operates primary care clinics, Express Care clinics, rehab therapy clinics, programs for home health and hospice, and retail pharmacies.
