Families, make plans for fall fun at the Lake Regional Cares for Kids Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, in the hospital’s main parking lot. A free hot dog lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., plus lots of other free snacks, including popcorn, caramel apples, cotton candy and Kona Ice.
Participants can tour the Lake Regional Emergency Department and take a look inside emergency vehicles. Kids also can have fun with pumpkin painting, face painting, an obstacle course, games and crafts. The first 200 children, ages 10 and under, will receive a free Lake Regional Cares for Kids T-shirt.
New this year, parents and caregivers will be able to complete comprehensive child identification packets to use in emergencies. MoCHIP will provide this service in the hospital’s main lobby. Parents and caregivers also can take advantage of free car seat checks, and they can visit with Lake Regional physicians, nurses and staff representing Lake Regional Hospital, Clinical Dietitians, ENT & Audiology, Family Birth Center, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Rehab Therapy, Speech Therapy and Sports Medicine.
