Board-certified Cardiologist Zubair Khan, M.D., FACC, with Lake Regional Heart and Vascular in Osage Beach, now provides outreach in Waynesville. Dr. Khan sees patients in the Cross Creek Plaza building, which also houses Lake Medical Spa, at 124 Ichord Ave.

The outreach clinic makes specialty care more convenient for patients by saving them travel time. In addition to Waynesville, Dr. Khan currently provides outreach services in Eldon, Iberia, Laurie, Richland and Versailles.

“Every week, I see patients who wouldn’t have access to cardiology care if I didn’t go to them,” Dr. Khan said. “Bringing our services directly to the patients helps ensure they receive the treatment they need.”

Dr. Khan is able to perform some diagnostic tests for heart disease and provide follow-up care at the outreach clinic. At Lake Regional Heart and Vascular in Osage Beach, Dr. Khan also offers advanced interventional cardiac procedures, such as angioplasty, stent placement and coronary rotablation (plaque removal).

Dr. Khan joined Lake Regional in October 2003. He completed a cardiology fellowship and internal medicine residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, as well as an interventional cardiology fellowship at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn.

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Khan at any of his outreach locations or at Lake Regional Heart and Vascular in Osage Beach, call 573.302.4406.

The heart care team at Lake Regional Health System includes interventional cardiologists, a cardiovascular-thoracic surgeon, and registered nurses and X-ray technologists who specialize in heart care.
