Lake Regional Health System announced today the promotions of three members of its leadership team: Jennifer Bethurem, Melissa Hunter and Kevin McRoberts.
“Through their leadership, these individuals support our mission and encourage excellence within our organization,” said Dane Henry, FACHE, chief executive officer of Lake Regional Health System. “Their knowledge, experience and commitment to our patients and employees will continue to benefit the development of Lake Regional services and enhance the quality of care for the community we serve.”
Jennifer Bethurem has been promoted to vice president of Public Relations and Marketing. Bethurem, who joined Lake Regional in 2008 as director of Public Relations, oversees the health system’s communications, marketing and community outreach activities.
Before joining Lake Regional, Bethurem was director of communications for the Missouri Hospital Association in Jefferson City. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Bethurem and her husband, Jeff, have one son. They live in Osage Beach.
Melissa Hunter, R.N., MSN, has been named executive vice president and chief nursing officer. She previously served as senior vice president of Clinical Services and CNO since 2017. She has been a Lake Regional employee since 1997 and has held several leadership roles, including director of nursing and Emergency Department manager.
Hunter oversees the hospital’s clinical areas: Critical Care, including ICU and PCU; Emergency Department; House Supervisors; Medical/Surgical Department, including Skilled Nursing; Peri-Operative Services, including Surgery and Outpatient Services; Respiratory Therapy; and the Women’s and Children’s service line.
Hunter attended Central Methodist University, where she received associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing before earning a master’s degree in nursing in 2013.
Hunter and her husband, JD, have two sons. They live in Osage Beach.
Kevin McRoberts, FACHE, has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer. McRoberts, who joined Lake Regional in 2000 as senior vice president of business development, has served as senior vice president of operations since January 2014.
As chief operating officer, McRoberts oversees Lake Regional’s Ancillary Services, including Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, Nutritional Services, Pharmacy and Wound Healing Center; cancer and cardiac care service lines; Human Resources; Operations, including Engineering and Environmental Services; and Rehab Therapies.
Before joining Lake Regional, McRoberts served as executive director for Missouri Advantage in Jefferson City. He has a bachelor’s degree in management from Missouri State University in Springfield and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
He and his wife, Courtney, live in Osage Beach. They have two children.
Other members of the nine-member Lake Regional administration team include: Dane Henry, FACHE, chief executive officer; Mike Burcham, vice president of Physician Practices; Patrick Neece, chief information officer; Dr. Harbaksh Sangha, chief medical officer; Tom Williams, vice president of Human Resources; and Henry Zeisel, executive vice president and chief financial officer.
