“We are pleased to have Family Nurse Practitioner Laura Seaman caring for our patients,” said Michael Burcham, vice president of Lake Regional Physician Practices. “Laura has been in the area for more than a decade. Before she continued her education to become a nurse practitioner, she was a nurse in our Emergency Department. As a family nurse practitioner, she has the education and clinical training to provide health care to patients of all ages.”
Seaman chose to advance her education and become a family nurse practitioner because she wanted to build long-term relationships with her patients.
“Knowing what motivates them, and what doesn’t, and supporting them through struggles and successes allows me to take the very best care of my patients and their families,” she said. “Good relationships are built on trust, transparency and open communication.”
Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Seaman earned her family nurse practitioner degree from Cox College of Nursing in Springfield, Missouri.
Seaman and her husband, Joe, have four children and one German Shepherd. They enjoy camping, playing sports and pool time.
Along with Seaman, the Lake Regional team in Lebanon includes Mitch Bartley, D.O.; Meg DeMuri, PA-C; and Valerie Donnelson, PA-C. Plus, Pauline Abbott, D.O., and Laura Thompson, FNP-C, care for patients in Occupational Medicine.
