Lake Regional Health System welcomes C. David Eastep, MPAS, PA-C, to Lake Regional Express Care – Lebanon. A physician assistant is a licensed medical professional who can examine, test and treat patients and prescribe medication.
Originally from Harrison, Arkansas, Eastep earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at University of North Dakota. Eastep’s background is in emergency medical services, where he has worked as a paramedic and flight paramedic.
Eastep has known he was meant to be in the medical field since adolescence.
“My grandmother was a nurse, and she taught me things that made me interested in medicine even from a young age,” said Eastep. “I was also involved in an accident as a teenager that solidified my decision to work in healthcare.”
Eastep believes it is important for patients to be able to relate to their providers in order to develop a comfortable relationship.
“I approach my patients as someone who wants to help them overcome a problem,” Eastep said. “I encourage their input.”
Eastep and his wife, Gwen, have four children. In his free time, he enjoys being with friends and family and appreciates any excuse to be outdoors.
Lake Regional Express Care has walk-in locations in Camdenton, Eldon, Lebanon and Osage Beach. Conditions treated include infections, allergies, cuts, sprains and other issues that need medical attention but do not require an emergency response. See hours at lakeregional.com/ExpressCare.
