At Lake Regional Health System, positive influenza tests more than doubled from the last week of December (15 positive tests) to the first week of January (34 positive tests).
“And our flu case numbers continue to rise,” said Lake Regional Health System’s Denise Dickens, a registered nurse and the hospital’s infection preventionist.
To meet the high demand for flu care, Lake Regional is extending Express Care hours in Eldon and Osage Beach through Friday, Jan. 12, plus providing a Camdenton flu clinic this Saturday, Jan. 13.
Extended Express Care Hours
Both Lake Regional Express Care – Eldon, 304 E. Fourth St., and Lake Regional Express Care – Osage Beach, 1057 Medical Park Drive, will remain open until 10 p.m. through Friday, Jan. 12. Express Care provides walk-in service; no appointment is needed, and patients do not have to be established at the clinic to receive care.
Camdenton Flu Clinic
Lake Regional Clinic – Camdenton, 1930 N. Business Route 5, will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13. This is a walk-in clinic; no appointment is needed and patients do not have to be established to receive care.
