Lake Regional Health System welcomes Neil Schwartzman, M.D., to Lake Regional Clinic – Lebanon, located at 441 W. Elm St. Dr. Schwartzman is a board-certified doctor of internal medicine, which means he focuses on providing primary care to adult patients.
“We are glad to have Dr. Schwartzman join our Lebanon team,” said Michael Burcham, vice president of Lake Regional Physician Practices. “An experienced doctor, he builds strong relationships with his patients and is committed to helping them manage their chronic conditions and live as well as possible.”
Dr. Schwartzman practiced medicine in Lebanon for 25 years before spending the last two years in Texas.
“So this is coming home,” he said.
Dr. Schwartzman said he finds internal medicine rewarding because it gives him the opportunity to get to know his patients as people.
“My patients expect me to be honest with them,” he said. “I use words anyone can understand, and I explain the benefits of following the treatment plan, as well as the risks of not following the treatment plan. I let them know I am here to support them as they work toward their health goals.”
Dr. Schwartzman earned his medical degree from Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico and completed his residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, which is also where he grew up.
Dr. Schwartzman’s family includes his wife, Tané, and two adult children, Samantha and Ryan. Dr. Schwartzman and Tané have a farm with horses, dogs, cats, chickens and more. They like to travel, read and go to the movies.
Along with Dr. Schwartzman, Lake Regional’s primary care team in Lebanon includes Mitch Bartley, D.O.; Dan Johnson, MSN, APRN-BC; and Laura Seaman, FNP-C. Other services in Lebanon include Express Care and Occupational Medicine, as well as orthopedics outreach.
