Lake Regional Health System Announces First Confirmed Case of COVID-19

On March 22, a Lake Regional patient tested positive for COVID-19. The patient is currently in isolation at the hospital to reduce the risk of exposure to others.

Lake Regional is taking several additional steps to prevent the spread of the virus in our community.

Beginning 8 a.m. Monday, March 23, Lake Regional will offer a 24/7 nurse call line for the community at 573-348-7419.

Earlier this month, Lake Regional restricted all visitors to the hospital with the exception of one visitor per Family Birth Center or pediatric patient and during end-of-life circumstances. In addition, all elective procedures have been suspended, a step that also will help ensure beds and staffing are available to meet increased demand.

And, we are strictly adhering to CDC guidelines and taking the necessary steps to ensure we are doing all we can to protect the health of our patients and employees.”
