The goal of hospice is to provide patients with the highest quality of life possible. Lake Regional Hospice volunteers help by offering patients companionship, running errands, assisting with light housework, providing respite for caregivers and helping with similar tasks. Before beginning, volunteers receive training in grief and bereavement, communication techniques, and other hospice-specific topics. Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage.
