Joyful EmployerGraduate Nurses: Are you a recent graduate of a nursing program? Lake Regional offers Bridging the Gap, a nurse residency program where you learn from subject matter expects on important topics, such as skin integrity, stroke care, telemetry interpretation, best patient care safety practices and more.

Lake Regional also offers Bridge to Practice to support graduate nurses as they begin caring for patients in the critical care areas on the Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit. Bridge to Practice includes education on critical care medication review, tools for success, and evaluation of processes and policy to gain rationale for evidence-based patient care.

Medical Assistant Opportunity

Lake Regional employees can pursue a Certified Medical Assistant Certificate through Lake Regional’s Medical Assistant (MA) program. This is in partnership with either Columbia College or State Fair Community College. The MA program includes four online sessions of coursework, including more than 120 required extern hours. Upon completing the program, participants are prepared to take their certification exam, and once certified, they can work as a Certified Medical Assistant for the Lake Regional clinics.
