Lake Regional Health System will host a free health talk on living with congestive heart failure at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, in the hospital’s third floor conference rooms.
Topics will include an overview of heart failure, how to manage the condition through diet and exercise, and what patients should expect if they are hospitalized. Lake Regional departments involved in presenting the health talk include Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Clinical Dietitians and Palliative Chronic Care.
“This seminar is for individuals with congestive heart failure and their spouses or caregivers,” said Jo Fogarty, R.N., CHPN. “Congestive heart failure is a challenging diagnosis, and this education helps patients and caregivers work together to manage this disease and its complications. We want to answer questions and help people with congestive heart failure live as well as possible.”
The program is free, but registration is required. Register online or call 573.348.8222 for more information.
