COVID-19 Response Fund

Thank you for continuing to do your part to help us limit the effects of this pandemic on the people we serve. If nothing else, this public health crisis underscores the importance of having a top-quality health care provider in our backyards.

As we work to slow the spread of COVID-19 throughout our region, we turn to you for support and assistance.

The most important action you can continue to take is to limit your exposure to others. We would prefer not to see you — or your loved ones — any time soon. So, please follow social distancing guidelines. Designate one person per household to run errands and make sure that person washes their hands before interacting with others in your home.

Many of you have asked what else you can do to help. Others have taken it upon themselves to donate funds, food or equipment. Thank you all. We have been deeply moved by your generosity and support.

If you are seeking an avenue through which to bolster our efforts, we would like to enlist your financial support in our Greatest Need effort. While many fundraisers have been and will continue to be cancelled, the demands on our people and equipment will inversely expand.

A special fund has been created to support Lake Regional Health System’s work in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. The Lake Regional COVID-19 Response Fund will be directed to the areas of greatest need, including:

  • support for critical care staff treating this respiratory illness
  • personal protective equipment, such as N95 masks and PAPRs
  • additional ventilators for those with severe reactions
  • upgrades to our intensive care unit.

Please help aid our response by submitting your gift online. Typing “COVID-19” in the comment section while you do so will ensure the funds are directed to this initiative. No amount is too small to make a difference. You can also contribute by phone by calling Trish Creach, executive director of Philanthropy, at 573.348.8376.

For more than 40 years, our hospital has met every challenge with strength and resilience. This is no exception. With our preparation, along with your support and confidence, we will get through this and emerge stronger than ever.

Thank you for all of your efforts as we safely respond to this crisis.
