Building a Better Lake Regional
Lake Regional Hospital is undergoing major renovations to improve our customer experience. The project, scheduled for completion in spring 2018, includes a remodeled main lobby, Emergency Department lobby and Outpatient Services department. Plus, we're building a new Women's and Children's Unit and Family Birth Center.
These renovations will occur in three phases, detailed below.
Where to Go Update
Family Birth Center: Patients of the Family Birth Center should always enter through the Emergency Department (Entrance C), no matter the time of day. Family Birth Center visitors should enter through Entrance B at the front of the hospital until 8:30 p.m. From 8:30 p.m. until 5 a.m., visitors should enter through the Emergency Department (Entrance C) and ask for a staff escort to the Family Birth Center.
Stepdown: Access to the east end of the hospital’s third floor is partially restricted. Visitors are encouraged to enter the hospital through the main front door (Entrance B) and use the elevator near the main lobby to reach the third floor.
On Monday, Dec. 4, the main lobby at Lake Regional Hospital will reopen. Patients needing emergency care should still enter through the Emergency Department, using Entrance C (see map).
Finish work will continue in the main lobby through the first couple of months of 2018.
The revolving entrance to the Emergency Department is closed. Patients and visitors now enter through temporary doors labeled Entrance C and Entrance D. See a map.

- Sleep Lab (night registration)

Entrance D (yellow):
- Diagnostic Imaging

This phase runs concurrent with phases I and II. In mid-August, the vacated Outpatient Services department began a complete remodel. Construction also began on a new Family Birth Center located in a new Women's and Children's Unit on the hospital’s third floor. Because the Family Birth Center is moving to an entirely new location within the hospital, there will be no interruptions to birth center services during construction.

The renovation work at the hospital follows a major expansion project at Lake Regional Clinic – Eldon. For details on that project, visit www.lakeregional.com/EldonClinic.
