Building a Better Lake Regional
From August 2017 through spring 2018, Lake Regional Hospital is undergoing major renovations to improve the customer experience. The project includes a remodeled main lobby, remodeled Emergency Department lobby, remodeled Outpatient Services department and a new Family Birth Center.
These renovations will occur in three phases, detailed below. Download a printable map here.
Where to Go Update
Access to the east end of the hospital’s third floor is partially restricted because of construction. The elevator servicing this hallway (from the Emergency Department and 2 East waiting areas) no longer opens on the third floor. Visitors to Stepdown are encouraged to enter the hospital through the main front door (Entrance B) and use the elevator near the main lobby to reach the third floor.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 21, the hospital’s main lobby closed and Outpatient Services moved to 1 North. Patients and visitors access the hospital through two front entrances, labeled A and B. Signs outside the hospital help direct people based on their destinations.
Entrance A (blue): Park in Lot A.

The main lobby is scheduled to reopen mid-November.
In November, after the completion of phase I, the revolving entrance to the Emergency Department will close. Temporary doors will be installed in two locations, labeled Entrance C and Entrance D. Again, signs outside the building will help direct patients and visitors.

Entrance D (yellow):
- Diagnostic Imaging

- Pain Clinic
This phase runs concurrent with phases I and II. In mid-August, the vacated Outpatient Services department began a complete remodel. Construction also began on a new Family Birth Center to be located on the hospital’s third floor. Because the Family Birth Center is moving to an entirely new location within the hospital, there will be no interruptions to birth center services during construction.

The renovation work at the hospital follows a major expansion project at Lake Regional Clinic – Eldon. For details on that project, visit www.lakeregional.com/EldonClinic.
