Sports Medicine

Lake Regional Sports Medicine is the only program in the lake area with a board certified orthopedic and sports medicine specialist, Dr. Scott Hofer, and a foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Cody Fox. They work with orthopedic surgeons Jeff Jones and Rick Walker at Lake Regional Orthopedics for the treatment of sports-related injuries. Lake Regional Sports Medicine provides medical coverage for sporting events, clinics and educational seminars for athletes and coaches. Our athletic trainers help educate parents, coaches, health care providers and athletes on the importance of injury prevention and treatment, and the long-term consequences of overuse and traumatic injuries.

In the fall, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine also provides a Black and Blue Clinic for student-athletes injured during Friday night games. The clinic, held Saturday mornings during football season, is located at Lake Regional Orthopedics inside Lake Regional Imaging Center.
