INPATIENT DINING AND NUTRITION COUNSELING | OUTPATIENT NUTRITION SERVICES | CAFETERIA | DIABETES EDUCATION || REGISTERED DIETITIAN SERVICES
The registered dietitians and culinary professionals of Lake Regional Nutrition Services provide inpatient and outpatient nutrition services as well as prepare healthy, nutritious food for the hospital community.
For the healthy person, diet and exercise are vital to maintaining optimal health from infancy to old age. For people enduring illness or injury, Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is essential for healing and restoration. MNT is a therapeutic approach to treating medical conditions and their associated symptoms via the use of a specifically tailored diet devised and monitored by a medical doctor or registered dietitian. The diet is based upon the patient's medical record, physical examination, functional examination and dietary history.
Our registered dietitians offer nutrition education and counseling for patients with conditions such as diabetes, seizure disorders or immune disorders, and work to incorporate dietary plans into the patients’ course of treatment.
