Employment Process

Lake Regional Health System has a comprehensive employment process to ease submission and ensure candidates meet the qualification requirements for each position. This process also helps managers confirm that the applicant's work ethic, education, experience, skills, and values align with Lake Regional's mission and values.

 

Application Process

Applications are accepted for open positions until we receive enough applications from which to interview and determine a final candidate or a final candidate is selected and accepts the offer. Once this occurs, the posting will be removed from the website.

Email Notification

You will receive an email notification once your application is successfully submitted. If you are not receiving notification emails from Lake Regional Health System Human Resources, we recommend checking your spam or junk folders (or another email filter) as emails may sometimes bypass your inbox.

Initial Evaluation

Once your application has been submitted, a representative from Human Resources will review your submission to determine if you meet the required qualifications for the position.

Candidates who meet the minimum requirements will then be evaluated and ranked based on their qualifications and work experience. The most qualified candidates may be asked to complete an online questionnaire as part of the selection process.

Application Status

Lake Regional Health System does NOT release the status of an application. To check your application’s status, on the Job Openings page, scroll down and click Log In Now. You will be able to review the positions for which you have applied and the status.

Interview Process

If selected for an interview, a member of Lake Regional Health System will contact you by telephone. Please be sure that the contact numbers listed on your application are current and have a voice mail option established. We will try a maximum of three calls to schedule interviews.

Lake Regional Health System utilizes several types of interviews including

1.       Phone‐based interviews: These are brief telephone interviews to determine a candidate’s qualifications and experience beyond the application.

2.       Prescreen In-Person Interviews: These interviews with a recruiter from Human Resources.

3.       Prescreen Online Interviews: These interviews are emailed to you from Human Resources.

4.       Departmental Interviews: These are in‐person interviews with the hiring department.

 

Pre-employment and Background Checks

Pre‐employment checks including (but not limited to) employment references are conducted on the final candidates. These must come back satisfactory to proceed to the next step.

Once we identify a final candidate, a member of Human Resources will contact the candidate to make a formal offer. Upon acceptance, the candidate will be required to complete drug screen test, criminal background check, and employment verification.  

Failure to pass any step in the pre-employment process will result in the offer being rescinded.

Post-Employment Testing

Some positions require a post‐offer employment test (POET) to ensure the candidate meets the physical demands of the position.

Required Vaccination

Flu vaccination is a condition of employment at Lake Regional Health System for all current and new health care personnel.

New Employee Orientation 

All new employees to Lake Regional Health System will be required to attend a New Employee Orientation which is your first day of employment.  Depending on your position, you may have additional orientation days. If additional orientation is necessary, we will notify you during your first day of orientation.
