Annual Gala Scheduled Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012

Lake Regional Hospital Auxiliary will present the Lake Regional Annual Gala on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Country Club Hotel & Spa in Lake Ozark. During the past 35 years, this event has raised more than $1.9 million for Lake Regional Health System, benefitting departments such as the Lake Regional Cancer Center and Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

“The Auxiliary has a long history of supporting the hospital’s mission,” said Betty Coleman, Gala co-chair and hospital volunteer. “But, this year’s event will be a fresh approach. The new name — Lake Regional Annual Gala — reflects our desire to include the entire community in this annual celebration.”

Several exciting changes are planned this year. According to Coleman, Gala participants will experience a few surprises, plus:
·         entertainment by Dave and the Wavetones, a touring eight-piece band that includes a horn section
·         cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while strolling through cityscapes
·         an expanded dance floor
·         photo booths and candid pictures to preserve memories of the evening

Drs. Paul and Maria Bernabe, Lake Regional Clinic – Eldon, and Lake Regional nurse managers Willie and Marcy Maxwell wi ll serve as honorary chair couples. All proceeds from the Gala will help purchase a centralized telemetry system for the hospital. The new area will increase patient safety by enabling the patient care team to view heart rhythms in real time, and detect and respond to abnormalities more quickly.The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing. Sponsorship packages are available ranging from $500 to $10,000. All sponsors will receive preferred seating.
