Surgical procedures are performed Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first floor of Lake Regional Hospital. Emergency surgical procedures are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
At Lake Regional, our team approach ensures patient safety is our top priority. Our seven operating suites are outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, and our board-certified general surgeons offer the latest techniques, including single-incision surgery and minimally invasive laparascopic procedures. Common procedures include:
- anti-reflux procedures
- appendectomy
- breast procedures, including mastectomy
- colon resection
- gallbladder removal
- hemorrhoidectomy
- hernia repair
- liver and biliary tract surgery
- advanced wound healing
Lake Regional's seven-bed recovery room is staffed with experienced recovery R.N.s. Anesthesia is administered by board-certified anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists with support staff. Full perfusion services also are available.
In addition, the surgical team supports Lake Regional’s full-service interventional and diagnostic cardiology department, orthopedic surgery, outpatient department and emergency department.
